He was born in Istanbul in 1987, originally from Malatya. He started his career in the baglama workshop of his brother Doğan Akpınar in 2005 and later worked as a master in many workshops.
In 2012, his interest in the oud instrument increased as his path crossed with friends, whom created Luteart brand together. Afterwards, he continued his career with this instrument. During his works in workshop, he trained intern students by being a master trainer for three education periods.
He has a graduate of Anadolu University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature.
